Without Any Blemish

This is a free-standing sculpture made out of Perla soap. I mad e this as a representation of the verse 1 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

I consider this “stone” as my life  since the day that I gave my life to  Jesus. The newspaper background represents the sins I did in the past. I know for sure that I am not perfect and the Bible says that the wages of sin is death. Hence, I deserve to die. But God won’t let that happen. He loves me that much that He gave His one and only Son Jesus- the Name curved at the top of the stone- to die for my sins. The red-colored second picture serves as His blood that was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins.

The art-work is colored white, symbolizing cleanliness. I was given a new life by God. He has forgiven my sins. Not only that, He has also forgotten them all. God is a God of new beginnings. Because of that, I have a bright future ahead.

God never promised an easy life on earth. He even said that we will face troubles. But His promises are more than enough for me to hold on. He said He will never leave me nor forsake me. And He is faithful to whatever He says. He’ll never fail. That’s my God!

I offer this work to Him. It may not be the most beautiful work; still I’m proud of it. The intention matters. I desire to glorify Him in every way, even through this simple thing. Words are not enough to express how grateful I am for having been found by Jesus.  If not, my life would have not  been the same.

So Lord, thank You. May You be magnified in my life. Help me live a life worthy of You… Without Any Blemish…
